Shotgun Wedding

Just a quick hello before we jet back to the UK...

When Mr. DD and I got married, we were pretty broke. We didn't do traditional engagement rings because, "I'm just not a diamond person." Or so I thought.

7 years later and 2.2 months away from the birth of our first child, I decided that I actually AM kind of a diamond person, so Mr. DD kindly obliged me with an engagement ring for Christmas. My father (the guy with the pitchfork in the background) insisted that it was also a good photo opportunity.

Not only that, but it's a bit of a supreme belly shot. Yes, the Prawn is going to be a mighty Lobster.

Hahahaha!!! That photo is AWESOME!!!!

Congrats on the diamond!

They really ARE a girl's best friend!! ;)

I like diamonds, though, personally. I received a lovely Princess Cut diamond engagement ring, and also a wedding band imbedded with diamonds. They were designed by our jeweller to fit together, so I told my husband before we got married, that he would be buying me a MATCHING diamond band to go with it, either for a good occasion (how about I get pregnant again and STAY pregnant this time?) or for no later than our 5th year wedding anniversary! :)

Wow, and 2.2 months to go? You really are having a mighty Lobster there!!! ;D

Safe trip home!

Love the photo. I see the lobster finding it one day and thinking, "Hey! They told me they were already married..."

Thank you ladies! The picture came out much better than we were expecting. Dad was only sorry he didn't have access to a shotgun, but I think the pitchfork made it look much more hillbilly. :)
