Hell, I drive better than 80% of people on the road here already! I've never quite seen anything like the driver's test over here. When I got my license in Maryland, I took my test on a closed course on the grounds of the DMV. A trained monkey could have passed that test.
Over here, you have to do absolutely EVERYTHING EXACTLY right. That means spending 40% of your journey looking in your mirrors, not crossing your hands when you turn the wheel and obeying every single one of a 1000 little rules and regs all while trying to navigate a small town with dangerous junctions and on-street parking. What with having to learn how to drive manual on the opposite side of the road, no WONDER it's taken me so long!
I just saw your last post too, rockmama. I'm sure the doc is right - the odds are very slim, if not quite as slim as you had expected. Good luck with the high res scan. That will be very cool.
30-something mom, living and working in the UK. While the "Prawn" wrecks havoc with her toddler ways, I prepare for the arrival of the "Squid" in early 2010. Experienced member of the pregnancy loss club, so am ridiculously grateful.

Congratulations! Should UK drivers be worried?
