"There's Nothing to Worry About, But..."

Ok, fear's back.

Just got a call from Dr. Bow Tie Guy's secretary (who's also a OBGYN nurse). Apparently, my hcg levels are "excellent" but my progesterone levels are only "fine". "There's no need to be alarmed," she said in that lovely, calm nursy tone, "but Dr. BTG would like you to use two progesterone pessaries a night instead of one."

So not only to I get to shove TWO suppositories up my tradesman's every night, but all the anxiety has just come flooding in with a vengance.

Meh.

Damn it. Not what you need.

Hoping the second "pussary" (as my dear Ms. Prufrock calls them) does the job.

If ONLY they were "pussaries". Lucky old me, I suffer from Interstitial Cystitis, so no cooteral suppositories for me! They have to go up the other way. How undignified.

Oh, I'm sorry the office couldn't have told you everything is great with no but. Good part is, that they are monitoring you.

I hope you will be able to start feeling more confident every day. I know it must be hard. I haven't gotten preg. again since my miscarriage, but when I do I know it will be hard to enjoy it without worries.

Just try to enjoy what you can when you can (between worries).

I know it's hard, but try to console yourself with the fact that many, MANY women have to supplement with progesterone in pregnancy, and needing to do so does not mean that you have any greater chance at miscarriage.

I do IVF/FET, and I am always on Estrogen and Progesterone meds by injection to support pregnancy/potential pregnancy.

I think you will be fine! Try and hang in there!!! ;)

thanks for all the kind words, ladies.

I'm just a natural worrier at heart anyhow and anything out of the ordinary in this pregnancy is probably going to cause some alarm. Waiting with fingers crossed for the 9 week scan a week Monday.

I did the pussary thing, what was it...2, 3 times a day? I forget, but it was more than once. I wouldn't worry about it. Ha! Easy for me to say, right?

Sorry they have to go up the back passage. I tried that for awhile and couldn't deal.

Best of luck with the scan. I hope it alleviates all of your fears.
